I just had time before the Christmas decorations went up to have a quick battle.
It turned out to be a bit of a hotch-potch in terms of armies involved and the alliance side was very historically suspect in terms of its team members. However it did enable the Sarmatians to have a run out and for Xavier, one of my Persian satraps, to finally be in overall command.
Usual short and long reports.
Happy Christmas!
A very tactical battle. Poor leadership and morale for both armies was quite a problem. The Sarmatians could have Scythians and Thracians as likely allies. Perhaps the Thracians being a better bet who could field hoplites and good infantry and cavalry.
Happy Christmas

Thanks Peter. Best wishes for the new year.
I should have a Thracian army in a battle fit state during early 2022 so I’ll follow up your suggestion and give them a run out with the Sarmatians as an ally.
